How To Delete Bookmarks on Chrome (Desktop)

Follow these steps to remove bookmarks from Chrome on your computer.

Method 1: From Bookmarks menu bar

If you want to remove your bookmarks straight out of the bookmarks bar.

  1. Right-click on the bookmark from the bookmarks bar at the top.
  2. A popup menu will appear, select Delete.

Method 2: Using Bookmark Manager

  1. Click on the (⋮) icon at the top right corner of the app window.
  2. A dropdown menu will appear, select Bookmarks> Bookmark Manager. You can also hit Ctrl + Shift + O on your keyboard.
  3. Select the folder of the bookmark that you want to delete on the left pane.
  4. Now, right-click on your target bookmark.
  5. Select Delete from the dropdown menu.
  6. If you want to remove all your bookmarks then hit Ctrl + A (select all) and click on Delete at the top right corner of the app window.

On Android

  1. Launch the Chrome app on your phone/tablet.
  2. Tap on the (⋮) icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  3. A popup menu will appear, select Bookmarks.
  4. You will see a list of bookmarks, tap and hold on any one bookmarks.
    • Select the bookmark folder if you have.
  5. Now, select the other bookmarks that you also want to delete.
  6. Tap on the (🗑) icon at the top right corner.

On iOS

  1. Launch the Chrome app on your iPhone/iPad.
  2. Tap on the (⋮) icon at the top right corner of your screen.
  3. Select Bookmarks from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose a bookmark folder.
  5. Tap on hold on the bookmark you want to delete.
  6. A menu will pop up, select Edit Bookmark. 
  7. Now, tap on DELETE at the bottom left corner.

How to Delete Bookmarks on Firefox

Follow these steps to remove bookmarks on the desktop version of Firefox.

On Desktop:

  1. Open the Firefox web browser on your computer.
  2. Hit Ctrl + Shift + B on your keyboard.
  3. Select your target bookmark folder from the left pane.
  4. Press and hold Ctrl, then select the bookmarks you want to delete.
    • If you want to delete all your bookmarks, hit Ctrl + A.
  5. Hover your mouse to any selected bookmark and right-click.
  6. A popup menu will appear, select Delete.

On Mobile:

  1. Open the Firefox app on your phone.
  2. On the home screen, tap on BOOKMARKS. 
  3. Tap and hold on your target bookmark.
  4. A popup menu will appear, select Remove.

How To Remove Bookmarks From Safari

You can delete the bookmarks on Safari with ease, follow these steps in order to do so.

Remove Bookmarks from mac

  1. Open the Safari web browser on your Mac.
  2. Click on the Bookmarks at the top menu.
  3. A dropdown menu will appear, select Edit Bookmarks.
  4. Select your target bookmark, and right-click.
  5. Now, select Delete in the popup menu.

Clear bookmarks on iPhone

  1. Launch the Safari app.
  2. Tap on the 📖 icon (bookmarks) at the bottom of your screen.
  3. You will see a list of saved bookmarks on the list. Tap on Edit at the bottom right corner.
    • If you have organized your bookmarks in folders, open the target folder and then tap on Edit.
  4. Now, tap on the red delete icon of the respective target bookmark.
  5. At last, confirm by tapping on Delete.

Once you are done deleting bookmarks, tap on Done at the bottom right corner of your screen.
