In 2009, the company also released a series of apps that allowed passengers to book their flights and enjoy these fares online.

Air Canada’s ongoing fleet modernisation program began in 2007 and the airline has been adding next-generation, fuel-efficient aircraft with industry leading customer amenities. Air Canada’s long-haul workhorse plane is currently the ultra-efficacious Boeing 747 Dreamliner, with fuel efficiency up to 20% over the aircraft it replaces. The Airbus A220-300 (formerly known as the Bombardier C Series) and 737 MAX 8 aircraft feature product specifications and in-flight entertainment similar to the 787 Dreamliner. Airbus A220 and 737 MAX 8 aircraft use as little fuel as possible and emit as little CO2 and as little nitrogen oxides as the older aircraft.
When you are planning to buy a ticket, there is a time that you should wait until after you book your plane. If you’re flying into Canada from the United States, it is wise to book your tickets at least three months in advance, preferably 30 days in advance. Plan well in advance and buy tickets at least five and a half weeks before the travel date.
But flights booked on holidays, such as Christmas or New Year, or when schools are out of session are going to be a lot less popular. If you canceled your flight at the last minute, you could save a small amount of money by buying your tickets as far ahead as you can.
